The celebration of 120 years of diplomatic relations between Serbia and Cuba, organized by the Institute (Zaprokul) and the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba, will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022. starting at 12 noon in the Gallery of the Institute.
By celebrating this significant anniversary, we want to emphasize the importance of preserving cultural ties, because self-knowledge of oneself and one’s own culture is impossible without knowing another. By meeting different cultures and permeating them, we create a synergy of cultural identities and patterns that contribute to the additional improvement of diplomatic and friendly relations between Serbia and Cuba.
Marko Krstić, Director of the Institute, will give a welcome speech, and the following will speak about the culture and history of diplomatic relations between Serbia and Cuba: H.J. E. Gustavo Trista del Todo, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba and Stanko Blagojević, Assistant Minister of Culture for International Relations and European Integration in the Field of Culture.
The visiting exhibition “ČE.59.KG” on the occasion of Che Guevara’s visit to Yugoslavia will be opened by Marko Terzić, senior curator of the 21st October Museum from Kragujevac.
