EXHIBITION OF A SMALL RETROSPECTIVE OF ŠOBAJIĆ’S PAINTINGS IN ZAPROKUL

The opening of the exhibition “Šobajić – TRACK” by the famous Serbian and European painter and sculptor Miloš Šobajić will be held in the Gallery of the Institute  (Zaprokul), Riga od Fere no. 4, in Belgrade, on Tuesday, April 5, at 6 p.m.
The first in a series of exhibitions dedicated to the greats of art, “Shobajic – TRACE” is a kind of reminder of the rich and diverse work of Milos Shobajic, who left us too early a year ago. With this exhibition, Zaprokul wants to pay tribute to one of the most important names in contemporary art.
The audience will be presented with paintings in combined technique and oils on canvas from private collections. The exhibition includes the early and late Shobajic – from the late sixties, the most impressive from the late eighties and the last phase after the 2000s.
The subject of Shobajić’s paintings is always man, even when he is absent: For a long time now, I have been painting only the trace that a man leaves on the things that surround him.
The welcoming speech will be given by Marko Krstić, director of the Institute for the Study of Cultural Development, and the exhibition will be opened by Đordje Kadijević, art critic and director, and Vladimir Tomčić, art historian and collector.
