“In his work, Shobajic created icons that grandiosely depict the man of this historical moment, and he will be known even when everything is in the fog of the past,” said the legendary Djordje Kadijevic last night at the opening of the exhibition “Shobajic – TRACE” in the Gallery of the Institute (Zaprokul).
Marko Krstić, director of Zaprokul, gave a welcoming speech, emphasizing that “Shobajic has left a mark in the history of art that is yet to be assessed and that his entire artistic contribution will certainly be read on a national and global scale.”
Vladimir Tomčić, art historian and collector, thanked the numerous gathered audience and organizers for the attention they pay to the greats of our art.
The exhibition includes the early and late Shobajic – from the late sixties, the most impressive from the late eighties and the last phase after the 2000s.
