The results of the Zaprokula research were presented at the conference “Digital Immunity – Media Culture in the Digital Age”

The conference “Digital Immunity – Media Culture in the Digital Age” was held in the Residence of Princess Ljubica in Belgrade under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia.

The conference dedicated to the improvement of media literacy in Serbia was opened by Slavica Trifunović, Assistant Minister of Information and Media of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia.

Marko Krstić, Director of the Institute (ZAPROKUL) and Bojan Klačar, Executive Director of the Center for Free Elections and Democracy (CESID) presented the current situation in our country.

Krstić spoke about media literacy and media habits of high school students in Belgrade, where Zaprokul’s research showed that we need to take this topic more seriously in order for the younger generations to use digital tools in the right way.

Young people mostly use the social networks Instagram and TikTok, most of them believe that they can recognize fake news and know what propaganda and spinning are, the results of the research showed.

“Monitoring of media literacy of high school students will continue in the following period,” said Krstić.
