IT IS IMPORTANT TO INFLUENCE YOUNG PEOPLE FROM FOREIGN COUNTRIES

Today, the new 173rd issue of the magazine Kultura with the topic “Culture and Diplomacy” was promoted in the crowded Gallery of the Institute (Zaprokul).
The director of the Institute, Mr. Marko Krstić, addressed the gathered audience, emphasizing that “this topic has the intention to unite two important ministries and activate the issue of diplomacy in culture.”

The editor of the topic, Dr. Aleksandra Kolaković, referred to the fact that the “new normality” changed the lives of people in all countries of the world. “Establishing, developing, maintaining and improving the external relations of the state through culture, art, sports, science and education in new circumstances are given new tasks. “Cultural diplomacy as a part of public diplomacy and a way of building ‘soft power’ in this context is especially important for culture and a country like Serbia.”

“Wider methods of action, ways of expressing and improving the ways of flowing information for the action of cultural diplomacy are changing, however, it seems that the goals have remained essentially the same: to reach another with their influence, but also in certain historical circumstances to prevent another from reaching you, “said Dr. Slobodan Selinic, scientific advisor from the Institute of Recent History of Serbia, in his address.

Prof. Dr. Siniša Atlagić from the Faculty of Political Sciences, pointed out the importance of the topic and the importance of the magazine Kultura, which raises this topic, concluding that it is important to influence young people from foreign countries and that such a course could be one of the future cultural and diplomatic strategies of our country.
