Performance of Serbian comics in Paris

The long-announced presentation of Serbian comics in Paris, organized by the Institute (Zaprokul), will be held on Friday, July 1 at 7:30 pm at the Cultural Center of Serbia. Promotion of the capital book Freedom! Equality! Comic book! : Serbian-French relations in the art of visual storytelling by Zoran Stefanović in French, published by the Institute f, is dedicated to Serbian-French ties in the field of comics and the great importance of comics in the cultural policy of both countries. began in 2019 after the signing of an agreement in the field of comics by the presidents of Serbia and France.

After the promotion of the book, following the example of the football team, a collective exhibition will be opened representing the Serbian national comics team and showing the best that Serbian comics have in the last 30 years – 11 comic book authors with their most important works in France and Serbia: Aleksa Gajic, Gradimir Smuđa, Rajko Milošević Gera, Milan Jovanović, Nina Bunjevac, Jana Adamović Kordej – Yana, Milorad Vicanović Maza, Sasa Rakezić alias Aleksandar Zograf, Branislav Bane Kerac, Jovan Ukropina, Stevan Subić and the “selector” of the national team Vladimir Vesović.

The authors of the exhibition are Aleksa Gajić, a world-renowned comic book author and illustrator, Igor Marković, the most important Serbian comic book publisher and the author team of the Institute for the Study of Cultural Development.

Zoran Stefanović, author of the book and comic book historian, Jana Adamović Kordej, well-known Serbian comic book author and winner of the French Order of Literature and Art, and Marko Krstić, writer and director of the Institute , will speak about the book and the exhibition.
