On the occasion of the 50th jubilee FEST, there will be a screening of the archive film by the cult director Mico Milosevic about the origin of the FEST and a talk about the film called “BIRTH OF THE FEST” in the Gallery of the Institute on Friday, March 4 at 6 p.m.
The first FEST “Brave New World” was opened on January 9, 1971 in the House of Trade Unions, with a screening of the film “Mesh” by Robert Altman. From that period until today, FEST has become a window to the world and one of the main cultural events in Belgrade. To date, FEST has been visited by over four million viewers with over four thousand important world films, and with the same energy it continues its great cultural task, expanding its horizons to all fans of film art.
