The search for questions and answers in a new, redesigned Culture

The new  double issue 170-171 was  promoted in the  Gallery of the Institute for cultural development research. Journal of Theory and Sociology of Culture and Cultural Policy CULTURE. Marko Krstić, director, greeted the audience, famous personalities in culture and directors of cultural institutions.

Krstić pointed out that: “the modernization of the magazine’s appearance came as a need for as many readers as possible, because CULTURE is the only journal for the sociology of culture and cultural policy.” Of course, that does not mean that we are not aware of the long tradition of this cult magazine, which we look at with respect and dignity. CULTURE will continue to be one of our most important journals with the highest scientific achievements. The history of art is also the history of changes, and in that name, CULTURE must be conceptually different than before, and visibly more active in the public life of Serbia, considering the neuralgic and focal points of culture and cultural policy. ”

The promotion was opened by the Assistant Minister of Culture and Information for Contemporary Creativity, Mr. Radovan Jokić, clearly pointing out that the magazine CULTURE went a step further. We expect that its space of action will be a sublimation of those current events that the Ministry is facing, and we are counting on help in solving the challenges that modern culture and the world are facing. A further segment in which this important magazine can help us is certainly the contextualization and the presence of realistic projections in response to the topic of how to develop and improve culture. ”

Dr. Sladjana Ilić, the editor-in-chief of the magazine CULTURE and members of the editorial board: Jana Aleksić and Vladimir Kolarić, inspired the audience with the new concept brought by “Culture”.

The thematic triptych of this double issue was presented in a pleasant atmosphere: “Culture, subject, philosophy”, “Culture and creativity” and “Culture and heritage”, and the audience expressed great interest in the newer and more modern look of the magazine.
