TRIBUNE “CULTURE AND NATURE OF NATIONAL SIGNIFICANCE: BAČ, GOLIJA AND STUDENICA” WAS HELD

Yesterday, in the Institute (Zaprokulu), in cooperation with the Eco Center – Center for Socio-Ecological Research and Documentation, a panel discussion “Culture and Nature of National Importance: Bac, Golija and Studenica” was held.
The director of Zaprokul, Marko Krstić, opened the tribune realized within the BIOSPHERE week, which is an integral part of the rich program of the BIOS ART event, dedicated to the culture of environmental awareness.
Goran Milašinović, President of the Conference for Cooperation with UNESCO, pointed out that culture and nature observed in one counterpoint lead to the same goal – nature conservation and ecology, and that nature and man must function together, praising the Institute’s edition called Tastes , as well as the efforts of the Eco Center, which greatly contribute to recognizing the importance and popularization of this topic.
The participant of the forum, Slavica Vujović from the Institute for the Protection of Monuments of Vojvodina, presented her experiences in preserving landscapes of national importance and emphasized the importance of the unity of culture and nature. because “nature is the scenography on which cultural heritage is created.”
Ms. Gordana Jančić, from the public company Srbijašume, pointed out the importance of the Golija-Studenica biosphere reserve, but also the desire for the next protected reserve to be the Stara Planina area, praising the efforts of the Institute that produces monographs within the Tastes edition.
The director of TO Sombor, Ms. Zdenka Mitić, mentioned in her presentation how important it is to recognize the importance and allocate funds for the promotion of biosphere reserves.
Participant Duška Dimović, an environmental activist, pointed out the importance of the coexistence of nature and man, because biosphere reserves are a kind of experimental areas for scientific research.
Dejan Zagorac, moderator, author of the edition Tastes and researcher of the Institute, included the audience in the discussion, pointing out the importance of preserving the culture of environmental awareness and the importance of preserving current and future biosphere reserves.
