Cycle CHRISTIANITY AND FILM
Tribune MIGRATION AND MIGRANTS ON FILM
October 20 at 7 p.m., University Library in Belgrade

The fifth discussion in a row MIGRATION AND MIGRANTS ON FILM from the series CHRISTIANITY AND FILM will be held on Thursday, October 20 at 7 p.m., in the “Svetozar Marković” University Library in Belgrade. This series of forums is traditionally organized in cooperation with the Institute.

The topic of this forum is migration and the fate of displaced people as a frequent motif of biblical and Christian history, which has a significant role in the history of salvation, but also offers serious ethical challenges and implications. Globalization and global conflicts make the issue of migration and migrants one of the burning problems of our time, which has a significant echo in the film as well. It is also a question to which Christians and the Church should offer a seriously theologically and ethically based answer.

Participants:
Bozidar Pavlovic
Vladimir Kolaric

Božidar Pavlović is a theologian and religious teacher, editor of the website Qui amat, migrat – Who loves, moves, which is dedicated to the attitude of Orthodox churches towards the current migrant crisis.
Vladimir Kolarić is a theoretician of culture and art, author of the books “Christianity and Film” and “Christianity and Art”.
